様々な専門領域で活躍される経験豊富な先生方を介して、「総合診療に役立つ手技や知識」の体得を目指すためのウェビナー『Rural Skills』。

 

今回は異色の経歴を持つ精神科医、星野 概念先生を講師にお招きし、数ある診療科の中でも特殊性や専門性の強い領域とも言える「精神科」をテーマに、先生ならではの観点から実体験を基にしたお話を聞かせていただきました。

 

 

 

 

精神科医でありながらも音楽活動や執筆活動にも精力的に取り組まれる一面も持ち、現在はそれまで勤務していた総合病院や大学病院を離れて、フリーの精神科医として活動されている星野先生の目下最大の関心事は「地域精神医療」とのことでした。

 

長年の勤務の中で「薬物療法」中心の考え方に疑問を持ったことから、現在は「精神疾患を持つ人も持たない人も一緒に地域で暮らしていくための”繋ぎ役”」のような存在を目指し、地域医療の中で自分の専門性を活かした活動に取り組まれる星野先生。

 

既に世田谷と相模原にて「訪問診療としての精神科診療」を実現されているほか、地域のサウナやカフェにおける「医療や福祉に辿り着けていない人までを救い上げる」ための催しなども精力的に実践されています。

 

 

 

また、「こころ領域のGP」を目指している語る星野先生は、一般的に精神科の中でも分断されがちな「小児」と「成人・高齢者」の垣根を超えてあらゆる年齢層を診られるよう研鑽を重ねており、現在もオープンダイアローグや家族療法の本格的な習得をはじめ、漢方や養生など東洋医学的な観点からの予防医療の体得と実践にも力を入れられているそうです。

 

そんな星野先生による”考えさせる”講義に真剣に耳を傾ける研修生方の姿が、とても印象的でした。

 

 

なお、普段あまり深く接する機会の少ない精神科医である上に、総合医療や地域医療的な観点と経験を兼ね備えているということもあり、講義後の質疑応答コーナーでも研修生方からは活発に質問が寄せられることとなった今回。

 

結局、当初の予定時間を大幅に超過する形で、和気あいあいとした活気に包まれつつ年内最後の『Rural Skills』は終わりを迎えることとなりました。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The other day, we successfully again held an webinar for encouraging the registrars to obtain valuable skills and knowledges for rural GPs through a variety of lectures by various veteran specialists: the Rural Skills.

 

Psychiatry was the theme of the session, and we invited Dr. Gainen Hoshino as a lecturer. Interestingly enough, Dr. Hoshino is indeed unique and stands out even in psychiatrists.

 

 

In fact, he has recently been working as a freelance and focusing on the practice of community “psychiatric” healthcare; actually, he had already provided home-visit medical care in some communities in order to realize the society that both people who have psychiatric disorders and people who haven’t those could live together.

 

In addition, he also had produced some local events for people who need medical welfare but can’t access to it, as a part of his activities.

 

 

Moreover, his scope of practice as a psychiatrist covers from children to elderly people, although usually most of psychiatrists only see one or the other.

 

Actually, he had been very aggressive in obtaining and enhancing skills so as to achieve his goals, such as open dialogue, family therapy, Kampo medicines and Yojo cure for preventive care, and so on.

 

 

 

One of his goals is to be a GP in a realm of psyche, according to Dr. Hoshino.

 

Thus, his lecture stroke a chord with the registrars who has endeavored to be a rural GPs. And the session, thankfully enough, was ended on a high note eventually.
