今月より全国各地の離島やへき地にて、「Rural Generalist Program Japan（RGPJ）」第5期の研修が開始されていましたが、昨日、今期では初となるウェビナーとして「Opening Webinar」が開催されました。

 

ウェビナーでは、研修開始からのおよそ三週間について、研修生一人ひとりから近況報告が行われましたが、卒後三年の先生から卒後十年の先生まで等しく、誰もが一様に新しい環境や慣れない業務に悪戦苦闘する様子を、それでも楽しそうにお話されていました。

 

 

研修先の病院では、これまでほとんど触れてこなかった分野や領域にも、全力でチャレンジされている先生方。

 

早くも離島やへき地の、そして「総合診療」という分野の“洗礼”を受け、それぞれ自分の実力不足を感じるような場面も少なくはなかったようですが、それでもその経験を貴重な「糧」として着実に吸収し、自身の成長や変化に繋げられている様子が印象的でした。

 

 

なお今期は、第4期生としても研修に参加されていた西津先生と上田先生の両名が、引き続き第5期生として参加されており、ウェビナーでは、昨年まったく同じ“洗礼”を受けた先輩として、他の先生方にエールが贈られる一幕も。

 

 

 

「いま感じている苦しさや違和感は、良くも悪くも三ヶ月くらい過ぎてしまうと薄れてきてしまうので、『楽しめ』とまでは言わなくても、しっかりと胸に刻み込むつもりで過ごしておいた方がいい」

 

ウェビナーの最後には、ゲネプロ代表の齋藤先生から研修生たちに激励のメッセージが送られ、終始和やかな雰囲気の中で、初めてのウェビナーは無事終了することとなりました。

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fortunately enough, the Opening Webinar, the very first webinar for 5th RGPJ registrars, has been successfully conducted yesterday!

 

 

Every registrars had started their training at each hospitals from this month, and they caught up on each other’s lives in the webinar.

 

Interestingly, it seemed that all of them had already been given harsh lessons of “general practice” and “rural and remote areas”. Most of them told with deep feeling that they had become painfully aware of inadequacy of skills and knowledge.

 

 

However, Dr. Saito, the director of RGPJ, said;  you should spent the current precious time with being heavy on the suffering which you had been feeling now.

 

He emphasized that usually they will be unable to feel the suffering after few months, although the suffering will be the good food for their future growth as a GP.

 

 

 

The very important thing to enjoy and complete this 1-year program is always to set a proper hurdle at the proper timing according to your ability, Dr. Saito said at the end of the webinar.

 

He sent cheers to the registrars and they finally seemed to be fully recharged by his yell, so most likely their days in the hospital will be much fine.
