まずは、上五島病院、島田総合病院、大井田病院、益田地域医療センター医師会病院の各院長先生をはじめ、同院の事務の方々やゲネプロを支援してくださる指導医の先生方、各分野・各方面において協力してくださっている関係者の方々、さらに取材に駆け付けてくださったNHKとGMJ（ジーエムジェイ）の記者の方々におかれましては、多忙な日々の合間を縫ってご参加いただきまして、誠にありがとうございました！

皆様のおかげで、RGPJ（Rural Generalist Program Japan）第2期生の門出を祝うオリエンテーションを、無事成功のうちに終了することができました。

 

そして、第2期生の皆さん。ゲネプロとRGPJを選び、自身の夢や計画、あるいは野望を現実のものにしようという決意を実行に移し、今日あの場に居合わせてくださったことに、心から感謝しています！

また、残念ながら勤務などの諸事情で参加できなかった第2期生の皆さんにも、等しく感謝を捧げます！

この春から、各自の目標に向かって共に歩んでいけることがとても嬉しく、また楽しみでもあります。

 

さて、2日に渡り東京で開催された今回のオリエンテーション。

初日には懇親会が設けられ、現地で研修生を支えてくださるメンターの方々と第2期生との交流が図られたほか、各病院の事務長との間でも意見交換が行われ、研修先での勤務と生活に関する質問や疑問、あるいは不安や悩みなどに対するサポートも行われました。

 

また、翌日のオリエンテーションにおいては、RGPJのプログラム紹介が行われるとともに、第2期生、各病院の関係者およびメンターの三者間でのディスカッションも実施。初日の懇親会のおかげもあってか、活発な議論が交わされていました。

 

なお、昨年に引き続き、病院の現場では指導医の先生方に教えを請い、オンラインレッスンによる英語力の強化においては、専属の優秀な講師陣のお世話になる予定です。

そして、今年からの新たな試みとして、オーストラリアで総合診療の教育に携わるロナルド先生から定期的なレクチャーを、メンターの方々からキャリア形成と生活におけるサポートをしていただくことになっているほか、様々な分野の専門家からも多面的なサポートをいただくことになっています。

さらには、オーストラリアのクイーンズランド州とのパートナーシップ推進、およびプログラムへのサポート体制の構築についても、各ビジネスの分野で活躍されている方々が助力してくださいます。

そのほか、「診療看護師を日本で広めたい」という夢を情熱的に追いかける診療看護師の方とも、活動を通じて巡り会う機会を得ましたが、これからどんな形でコラボレーションを実現しているか実に楽しみです。

 

ゲネプロが発足してから、はや3年半。RGPJの始動からも、まもなく1年。

これからも、今まで以上に挑戦し、学び、そして反省し、試行錯誤と軌道修正を重ねながら漸進してまいりますので、どうぞ皆様、今後とも忌憚のないご意見やご助言をいただけますようお願い申し上げます。

 

 

All thanks to everyone who has heartily been supporting us, the orientation for the 2nd RGPJ(Rural Generalist Program Japan) registrars has successfully ended!

 

Actually, although the orientation has held two days in a row, many cooperators gathered in Tokyo from all over Japan: commencing with each directors and clerks of every 4 clinical training hospitals, supervisory doctors and mentors who are to support registrars, people involved who are active in the various areas, reporters from NHK and GMJ, and last but not least all registrars (only several registrars couldn’t be there unfortunately).

I would love to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who were at the venue. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

 

By the way, the orientation mainly focused on communication and opinion exchange between registrars, hospital officials and other supportive persons, so the programs had been planned according to the purpose, including a convivial party, Q&A sessions and discussions.

Then, they could communicate with each other to exchange information and opinions actively. So, I was relived for now.

 

In addition to these, we are to receive many supports in the various fields from many experts and professionals. For example, to construct support system and deepen the partnership between Queensland’s government is one of the exciting projects in process.

Moreover, we are going to provide opportunities with registrars to get coaching from Ronald McCoy, who had been engaged in the education for GP for a long time in Australia, as a new initiative from this year, while the on-the-job coaching by supervisory doctors and online English lessons by well-qualified teachers remain, as was the case in the last year.

 

 

Anyway, it has been about more than 3 year and nearly 1 year since Genepro and RGPJ had started up respectively.

We would sincerely like to keep trying, learning and reflecting so as to move RGPJ and other projects forward by brushing up our programs and strategies. I would love to call for your continual backup and feedback in the future as well!
