私がまだ福岡で在宅医療を勉強させていただいていた頃にお世話になった方々と、もう1年以上も前から企画していた旅を、無事に終えることができました。

皆して大きな荷物を抱え、飛行機には乗れないので新幹線で約6時間。遠路遥々、辿り着いた先は千葉県浦安市。

到着してから、まず向かった先はディズニーシー。あまり乗り物に乗れませんでしたが、必死に努力した甲斐もあって、パレードを観覧しやすい場所を確保することができました。

パレードの開始を待つ間にビールで乾杯したことは、きっとこの先も忘れられません。

 

さて、翌日は、ディズニーランドに挑戦。華やかなショーを堪能したり、豪華なホテルに宿泊したりと、まるで夢のような時間を過ごさせていただきました。

閉園前のエレクトリカルパレードの席を取れるか気がかりでしたが、何とか無事に確保。残念ながらディズニーランドではビールが販売されていませんでしたが、皆パレードそっちのけで大笑いでしたね。

 

お金も労力も、そして気も遣われたご家族の皆さん。そして、3名とそのご家族をサポートしてくださった医療スタッフの皆さん。

僕は “お守り” なんて呼ばれて、不測の事態に対応する係でしたが、主に車椅子を押したり、荷物を持ったりと、皆さんの旅行の足を引っ張らないよう精一杯でした。

 

「車椅子がパンクした…。どうしよう…！」

緊張しすぎて、初日の夜に悪夢を見る始末(笑)

翌朝、皆さんにその話をしたら、「それって正夢になるよー？」なんて脅かされましたが、幸いにも最後まで無事に、そして最後まで楽しい旅となりました。

子供たちの笑顔がたくさん見れたら嬉しいなぁ〜。子供たちが「楽しい人生だよ、幸せな人生だよ」そう思ってくれたら嬉しいなぁ〜と思い、今回の旅行を計画しました。

子供たちが居てくれたからこその、この出会いに感謝です。楽しい思い出をたくさん作ります。

 

行きたくても行けない方も、沢山いらっしゃいます。そういった方々が、もっと容易に旅行できるサポート体制が、もっと充実することを願わずにはいられません。

とても多くのことを感じ、また学ばせていただいたので、上手く一言でまとめることはできませんが、皆さんと過ごした2泊3日のディズニーリゾートへの旅は、間違いなく私の宝物となりました。

 

そして、何よりも今回の旅行の主役である美樹ちゃん、勇くん、そして史ちゃん。お疲れさまでした。一緒に連れて行ってくれて、本当にありがとう！

 

 

The other day, I went on a trip to Tokyo Disney Resort with three physically challenged people and their family with whom I had associated when I had learned home care in Fukuoka prefecture.

From Fukuoka prefecture to Chiba prefecture, we took a Shinkansen bullet train for as long as 6 hours.

 

As soon as we arrived at our stop, we immediately went to Tokyo Disney SEA. As anticipated, the park was so clouded that we couldn’t enjoy many theme-park rides.

With everyone’s effort, however, we could secure a good place for watching the parade and finally enjoy it.

I will never forget the smiles that everyone had on their face when we raised our glasses to the parade with beer.

 

On the second day, we visited Tokyo Disneyland. In the park, we enjoyed many festive, gorgeous shows and stayed at a luxury hotel on that day.

It was a dreamy day for me; and I hope they shared with my feelings, too.

 

Through the trip, I experienced and learned many of what is important from them, so I couldn’t summarize what I acquired at a word. The time I spent with them, however, became a precious treasure for me, definitely.

 

All over the world, there are many people who can’t go on a trip despite they have wanted to do so much as soon as possible.

I hope the support system for such people will be developed and spread throughout the world.

 

Last but not least, I would like to appreciate the three leading stars of the trip. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have such a wonderful journey, indeed!
