『離島医療のアドバンテージ ―The Advantage of Island Medicine―』
「救命率が高い段階で、一番早く患者さんにタッチできる、それが離島医療の最大のアドバンテージです。いつになっても挑戦あるのみだな」
甑島にて、“Dr.コトー” こと瀬戸上 健二郎先生の口から、ふと一言。
島民の命を守る砦として39年間にわたり勤め上げた偉大な医師が、最後の最後に、また大きな背中を見せてくれた。
今回、ノルウェーの北極圏にある離島でGPとして働くグリィ・バーンツゼン医師も来島しました。Dr.コトーのノルウェー講演も、現実化に向けて動き出しています。
This time, Dr. Gry Berntzen, who has been working at small remote islands in the Arctic Circle in Norway, visited Koshikijima Island to see Dr. Kenjiro Setoue, also known as “Dr. Koto” in Japan.
There, the two had a discussion on island medicine both in Japan and Norway.
Now, we are planning and preparing for inviting and welcoming Dr. Koto to Tromso as a guest speaker.
